I’m a journalist, filmmaker and designer, specialising in visual and digital investigations. Put simply, I dig through the web, analyse images and videos, build 3D models and digital tools to uncover information of public interest. I work for different media outlets including the BBC, Le Monde, Reporters Without Borders and Mediapart.
Having come to journalism after an earlier career spanning programming, design, and video, I now draw on those skills to enrich and deepen investigative work. Visual forensics, OSINT, Python, data scraping, 3D modelling, motion graphics… Every project leads me to combine these techniques, or pick up new ones, to dig up new information.
Recent investigations I’ve been involved in include the Strava Leaks series, which notably revealed that the aircraft carrier “Charles-de-Gaulle” could be tracked through the fitness app (Le Monde); a 40-minute visual forensics documentary on Nepal’s Gen Z uprising, analysing over 2,500 videos and using 3D modelling (BBC Eye); a large-scale investigation of France’s 24-hour news channels, which led the French media regulator to issue an unprecedented formal notice to CNews (Reporters Without Borders).
Alongside this work, I regularly give talks and workshops at schools and universities (Sciences Po, IHECS…). In another life, I also spent about ten years immersed in the breaking scene.
